Peninsula School of Art

Throughout the year, students and art appreciators of all ages discover the beauty of fine art within our inspirational garden setting. Our light-filled, well-equipped studios host nationally recognized artist educators who guide students in 2 to 4-day fine art workshops for all skill levels. Our Summer Studios for Young Artists program brings age appropriate curriculum to children ages 3 1/2 to 17-years-old, combining learning with a spirit of play.

Our Guenzel Gallery is open to the public, and art appreciators and students alike are welcome to experience free exhibitions of nationally and internationally recognized artists’ works. Free Family Art Days, the third Saturday of the month during the school year, and other outreach events, provide access to art making for all.

Your fine art experience is further enhanced by events like our Door County Plein Air Festival, featuring 40 outdoor painting masters from throughout the United States and points beyond who capture the diverse beauty of Door County on canvas. Free and ticketed events provide the opportunity to talk with and witness artists creating paintings from start-to-finish. This year’s Featured Artist events are from July 21-27. The public exhibition and sale of their works is July 27 - August 10.
