Make Your Own Derby Hat! When it comes to the Kentucky Derby, it’s all about the hat! Join your host OneEighty Petals Flower Farm & Studio and create your own flower-adorned Derby hat!
Workshop fee ($25/person) includes flowers (fresh, dried or a mix of both), ribbon, tulle, other stylish adornments and adhesive materials. Bring your own hat or choose from a variety of fun and stylish hats from Fish Creek’s very own Hat Head (separate purchase required; costs of individual hats vary based on style). We’ll be on hand to give you a few pointers, then set you free to create a one-of-a-kind, show-stopping Derby Day accessory.
Reservations preferred. A few drop-in spots will be available each session. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time and allow 30-45 minutes for each make-n-take workshop session. Reserve your spot here.

Join us at Bayside Tavern for our free, festive Kentucky Derby Party featuring derby décor, baked snacks and sweets, a hat judging contest, a group photo in front of the Tavern, and of course—the World’s Shortest Parade. Hang with Hill Street for the Derby! Dress in your Derby best and hang with Hill Street! Race will be live throughout the bar and will be featuring Mint Juleps and plenty of Kentucky Bourbon to sip on!
