Silent Sports. Those two words might not sound like they go together, but we want to shout them from Sven's Bluff in Peninsula State Park…or quietly make sure everyone knows about all the amazing places to participate in Silent Sports here in Fish Creek!

Door County is a peninsula, and our maritime culture runs as deep as the blue waters below. Naturally, one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the surrounding waters is to embark on a paddling adventure.
If you’re looking for a local perspective, Door County Kayak Tours offers guided access to area caves, shipwrecks, and lighthouses. The 2- to 3-hour tours are great for all ages and skill levels and offer some of the most unique views of our beautiful landscapes and historic sites.
Nicolet Beach in Peninsula State Park is a great place to launch into a day on the water. Nicolet Beach, Boat, Bike Rentals and Concessions can help you get ready for your day with canoe, kayak and paddleboat rentals, with a fully stocked camp store to help you stock up for your adventure on the water.
If you already have your own gear, head to Peninsula State Park where a tremendous 1-mile canoe or kayak excursion will transport you from the shores of the park to the 38-acre paradise of Horseshoe Island.
As a desirable fishing location, this rocky plot of land can only be accessed by boat and is the perfect remedy for an adventurous soul. Hiking is also a popular activity on the island.
There are also other public boat launches around the village, which makes Fish Creek the ideal spot to set off in your own canoe or kayak.

Some of the best biking in Door County is right here in our backyard. Peninsula State Park is known for its paved Sunset Bike Trail that takes you down a scenic route around the shores of Green Bay with limestone formations on one side and towering cedars on the other. The trail delivers on its promise of radiant skies in the evening as the sun sets beneath the horizon.
The trail is nice for avid cyclists as well as relaxing family rides.

We know we keep mentioning our favorite Wisconsin State Park (Peninsula State Park), but there’s just so many activities to do here, and hiking is one of the finest.
Eagle Trail is well-known in the area as a challenging, yet highly satisfying walk in the woods. Along this 2-mile path, you’ll encounter ups, downs, uneven areas, steep terrain but also some breathtaking vistas that are well worth the effort.
The cliffs and closeness to the waterfront are breathtaking!
If you’re looking for more of a stroll than a hike, take to the paths of Fish Creek Park or Sunset Beach Park to enjoy a quiet connection with nature or stunning view of Green Bay. Fish Creek Park offers views of rolling bluffs on hiking trails between trees and meadows.
Sunset Beach, on the other hand, is equipped with benches, picnic areas and comfortable places to watch the sunset. You can actually feel life’s stresses drift farther and farther away.
Plus - both parks are pet-friendly, so your dogs are welcome too!
No one likes to be cooped up all winter long, so save this list for when winter hits and you’re ready to head out for some fat tire biking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing. We’ve got some excellent places to trek, ride or glide through the snowy months, so make sure Fish Creek is one of your winter vacation destinations!
Peninsula State Park is still the place to go when there’s snow on the ground. They have more than 6 miles of cross-country skiing and winter hiking routes to explore that are color coded by difficulty.
